Shipping Policy Update
In the past few weeks, we have had a large increase in the number of customers who have told us their orders are taking a very long time to arrive.
We were using the Royal Mail 24/48 service which is the cheapest but it is untracked. Unfortunately it looks like there has been severe delays with Royal Mail, the volume of post they are getting is much higher than normal with everyone turning to online shopping. Coupled with resourcing issues due to staff having to self isolate just means that a lot of items are taking ages to be delivered.
We had a flurry of emails over the weekend with a lot of customers saying they have been waiting for a long time. This is obviously quite disappointing to you, especially if you wanted it as a gift or to soothe your teething baby! Therefore, I have decided to look for another option.
Having spoken to our Royal Mail account manager, it looks like Tracked services are getting prioritised over other services. But this comes at x4 times the price of the untracked service. I have always wanted to ensure that we send our items out at the lowest possible cost to you, but given the current situation, it feels like I have no choice but to switch to the more expensive Tracked service.
So effective today, all items will be sent using the Tracked 24/48 service. Unfortunately this also means that I will be changing postage charges to the following:
£2.50 Standard (Tracked 48 - delivered within 3-5 working days after dispatch)
£4 Express (Tracked 24 - delivered within 1-2 working days after dispatch)
Orders over £25 will have free Standard Shipping
Orders over £40 will have free Express Shipping
Our turnaround times remain unchanged - we are still taking up to around a week before items are dispatched.
Please accept my sincerest apologies for this. I really tried hard to keep the delivery prices as low as possible. However, given the current situation, I want to ensure that all orders reach you in a timely order, especially in the run up to Christmas.
All existing orders will be shipped using the existing shipping method but if you would like to change or upgrade to a Tracked service, please let us know via email.
